In the land in which air conditioning appears to be a rare occurrence, I’m sitting inside our rented apartment here, in the relative dark, with all the shutters pulled down to avoid baking in the over-90° temperatures. I’ve been doing some cleaning up, organizing, writing, dusting, studying a detailed map of London, rummaging through photographs and reminiscing.
Also, it has to be said, I am feeling… well, like I am actually so, so fortunate overall. I have such incredibly sweet family and friends, I really can’t put it into adequate words! I won’t go into any details here, because this entry would go on for ages, but, honestly, I’m amazed so often at the fact that, whatever life throws ones way, however tough it may be or seem, there are always windows of hope and people there who fully support you, no matter what.

Well, that was soppy enough. ;)

I’m going to head off out on the balcony if possible, provided it’s not even warmer there than inside, and write some letters, read, grab a small dinner and then, after six p.m., when it should be a *little* less humid, sticky and boiling warm, take a nice, lenghty walk around the countryside we have so near to here – lovely fresh air, sunshine and summer, plus excercize, seems like a good idea.
